Recent posts on conservativehome.com's new commentators blog include:
Peggy Noonan on immigration as a force for disunity in the Republican Party, David Brooks on why technology is encouraging cultural separatism and Charles Krauthammer on the need to restrict civil liberties in post 7/7 Britain.
Saturday update: please see Norman Tebbit's What is the Conservative Party for? piece.
It's not too late to more honestly rename 'the US commentators' blog' - unless of course all problems, places and peoples *are* the same, hence some sort of soupy universal Conservatism (which just happens to sound like a badly cribbed Heritage freesheet c. 1996) can be applied worldwide, regardless of particular circumstances. Or maybe I am just grouchy this morning, and 3 americans is a coincidence.

Fair comment, Richard. There's been a lot of US commentators in this first week. The Krauthammer piece and latest Brooks article are very relevant to our UK situation, however.
