That would be the case if a YouGov survey of marginal seats for Channel 4 News came to reality.
The projected Tory majority is 150.

And Ruth Kelly and Jacqui Smith and a whole host of other.
I bet Neil Gerrard in Walthamstow is wishing he hadn't decided to retire at the next election - he could have been leader!

OK OK enough now. There are still 18 months so don't get carried away just yet.

I agree, with Gordon's superb plan to get us all shoving balloons up our chimneys the Tories are finished!

What sort of swing would we need to get rid of Harriet Harman?

Preferably the sort of swing one takes with an axe.

I know the General Election is a while off yet but does anyone else think what happened to us in 1997 could happen to Labour too? If it does, I hope some of the self righteous Lib Dems loose their seats as well.

I sincerely hope that Mrs Dromey keeps her seat and then after the general elections, becomes the leader of the Labour Party.

I'm afraid Harriet Harman's seat is horribly safe. Even the Crewe bye-election swing wouldn't do it. Conservatives need a swing of 25.6%, or Libdems need a swing of 20.9 to topple her off her perch. Should she be seen as a potential leader of a tiny Labour Party ?
