CONSERVATIVEHOME AWARDS NEXT MONDAY EVENING: Next Monday ConservativeHome will be presenting awards to some of the individuals and groups who are advancing conservative thinking and ideas. Those people who have already booked tickets will be receiving venue information tomorrow. If you would like to join the awards evening please click here for more information and to pay for your £10 ticket. There are about thirty tickets left.
HAVE YOUR SAY: Please click here if you haven't completed this month's ConservativeHome survey of grassroots opinion.
OCTOBER TRAFFIC: October was a record month for ConservativeHome. The 170,324 unique visitors amounted to an 11.9% increase on September and a 3.6% increase on the previous record month of August. During October there were 481,099 reloads.
COMMENTS POLICY: A larger number of people than usual have recently been banned from leaving comments on ConservativeHome. There had been a number of people who were continually nasty towards other visitors and determined to sidetrack every thread onto the same subject. The comments policy is here for those who would like further explanation.
Good to see that Conservative Home is beating Iain Dale and he keeps describing himself as Britain's most popular blogger!

I hope I'm getting a drink for my £10.

Remembering past conversations about financial matters I'm rather suprised William that you haven't demanded that Tim pay you around £50,000 plus vat plus postage and packing to guarrantee your attendance. Looking forward to seeing you there.

You certainly will, William. Even a few crisps!

Wish I could attend but.....
On Comments Policy could I just say how refreshing this weekend's postings were, with well argued points from across the party -without the trolls that have been so destructive for past few months particularly at weekends.

I'd agree Ted. The comments have been much improved after the recent clean up.
Glad to see CH isn't acting like school headteachers and banning crisps.

I believe Boris would quite like to ban crisps too. Next Monday sounds like a great evening. Mrs S will be coming too!

To be fair to Iain, he is 'a' blogger. This site has contributions from MPs, Tim Montgomerie, and many others. This site is no more Britain's most popular political blogger than the Daily Telegraph is Britain's most popular journalist.

Unfortunately the cost of making the journey to London and back is too high for me to attend the awards ceremony. Perhaps next time.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether the drink's any good....

Looking forward to meeting various people at next Monday's Awards Ceremony!
Also, well done Editor for cracking down on the "nuisance" posters. It was a job which needed to be done!

Congratulations on the growing popularity of ConservativeHome - It's a great place for reasoned discussion of current issues, free from the 'stifling hand' of party bureacracy.
Keep up the good work.

Out of interest, are non-card-carrying members of the Conservative Party allowed to attend? (I ask because I joined via the whizzo e-link on the Party website on 07 Oct 06, and though my credit card has heard from the Party, I haven't...)

Yes Don that's fine, hope to see you there.
