Sky News reveals that the Tory leader "has been voted more sexy than singer James Blunt, footballer Ashley Cole, and pop star Will Young".
The survey was carried out by New Woman magazine. Its editor Helen Johnston said:
"To be ultra sexy men have got to have a fair helping of everything - good looks, a successful career, money, power, charm and bucket loads of charisma."
Pah, they know nothing. I'm the sexiest man around...they just dont know it yet!

This is great news, well done Dave.

Ha ha - hardly the stuff to sway the polls is it.
Mind you - Im sure these days where image counts for so much its better to be regarded as sexy than - well lets just say unattractive. If I was being unking I may choose to go through the Labour Cabinet and ask how they would fare in a poll of good looks - but that would be far too superficial of me...... :0)

Not much to compete with.

Good God, it's the Adams Family.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thought he had a certain something about him... but sexier than Will Young? No way.
Seriously, though, it's good to see that, by appearing as the only politician on a list that also contains 'A-list' celebrities, he's clearly entered the wider public consciousness.

Hmm, pretty suprised by this rating, most of the girls I know think Cameron looks like he has 'something stuffed up him'. Besides, by the evidence of my own 'private canvasing' there are a few more attractive men out there, sorry Dave but you need the stubble to swing it with my sort of lady. ;)

The people have spoken Rob, and the people have spoken for David Cameron.

Hmm, the people have a distinct lack of taste. I am the prince of the north. Just got back from a quite entertaining club night to prove my case. ;)

So the Boy Wonder is a sexpot too. Is there no end to the man's talents? It must be a generational thing. The man's alleged charms are lost on me. All I feel about him is a sense of betrayal
Now had Liam Fox been on the list...e

Ooo yes, Liam Fox - definitely got rather more about him on the sex appeal front than the boy wonder.
Bear in mind this sort of survey was naming the likes of Liam Gallagher as the sexiest man alive when Oasis first appeared on the scene...

Call me old-fashioned because I do not find men, even Dave, sexy. It is women for me - but not positive discrimination.
Posted by: Selsdon Man | February 02, 2006 at 09:34
Thats positive discrimination...cant you see, were all bisexuals now. We cant be choosy anymore! Cameron is open to all things...drugs, modernisation, passive aggression...so must we. In fact we have no choice...we have to be like Cameron because we all voted him in.

Sexy Tories? This would never have happened when Hague was leader.(Although Churchill was voted world's most sexiest war leader 1942, narrowly beating Il Duce).

I agree.... very old fashioned to not find men attractive...

I keep hearing Galloway is on QT tonight (including in an email from Oxford Respect party today.
The BBC says it is Rhodri Morgan, Cheryl Gillan MP, Chris Huhne MP, Leanne Wood AM and actor Adam Rickitt. That's all five.

You're clearly forgetting that saucepot Margaret Beckett... *swoons*
Posted by: Daniel Vince-Archer | February 02, 2006 at 11:57
Im not sure about Margaret Beckett but Charles Clarke gets my vote as sexiest Cabinet member! In all seriousness, it would have to be Ruth Kelly. Her only problem is that she sounds like a man...
Posted by: James Maskell | February 02, 2006 at 12:44
... and looks like a man, i.e. Euan Blair.
Anyway, my vote goes to John Prescott, surely he's a dead ringer for a young Clark Gable.
Posted by: JB | February 02, 2006 at 13:08
A young Clark Gable ?
More like an old Roof Gable.

Gerard way the singer my chemical romance should be the most sexiest man on earth! helz yeah!
Posted by: jade | July 19, 2006 at 20:49
Gerard way would deffinatly get my vote as the sexiest man on earth! but i think he was voted least sexiest. how rude!!!
Posted by: jade | July 19, 2006 at 20:52
he is the sexiest man alive
Posted by: meagn | October 20, 2006 at 19:07
okay i thought i was the only one in the world that had this weird fetish / fanasty thing going on about Mr Cameron. Watching his parliamentary speechs is pure porn! he's gorgeous & how he handles that bicycle! okay maybe it's the stiff upper lip - and the whole image of mystery - mmm does he work for a library or MI5. oh wow - it's a deadly combination - an intelligent and apparently kind / good intentioned man or is he...(the mystery's as big as his puppet eyes)- he's a politican. I wonder is there a post to fill in his office as personal secretary. hmm.
Posted by: Martine | March 01, 2008 at 02:09
I just realised that my spelling is abit off - oh dear I wouldnt make a very good secretary - it's just that i get a tad bit distracted when I start thinking about Mr Cameron. ah hem. oh no im thinking how if i was working for him id have to refer to him as sir or mr cameron. ahhh bliss
