Peter Oborne believes the impossible in 48 hours

OBORNE On Thursday I noted that Peter Oborne was one of Fleet Street's most gifted but also most inconsistent columnists. I didn't expect to have proof for my claim so quickly.

Two days ago Peter Oborne wrote this:

"Until now it has been easy to argue that Mr Cameron was properly grounded with a decent set of values. Unfortunately, it is impossible to make that assertion any longer."

But the "impossible" has become possible in 48 hours. In today's Telegraph Oborne is "certain" of Cameron's decency:

"I have known the Prime Minister for 20 years and feel certain that he is genuinely filled with sound and decent values."
