Spot the difference: No European flag on display for Sarkozy's London visit

Spot the difference between the two podia in these two pictures. At the top is a screengrab from last month's press conference given by David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy, which was hosted by the French President in Paris.

Below is a snap from this morning's ceremony at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, marking the 70th anniversary of Charles de Gaulle's broadcast from London appealing to the French to resist Nazi occupation.

The French have the European flag alongside our national flags; we do not. Long may it remain that way.
