Populus shows Tory lead narrowing

PopulusHmmm. Yesterday's ICM poll had a wider Tory lead.

Let's wait at least a week until after the Party Conference season and also for voters to digest today's Legg letters.

Today's poll is a reminder of the unfairness of Britain's seat distribution.  Put the 40/30 Tory lead into UK Polling Report and you get a Tory majority of just eight seats.  Put a 40/30 Labour lead into UKPR and you get a Brown majority of 128!

Jackie Ashley should note that before her next Guardian column in which she writes about Cameron's plan to reduce the number of MPs and so address this problem as "a high-minded gerrymander".

The Times' report is here btw.
