Latest ComRes poll puts Tory lead at 16%

Tomorrow's Independent features a new ComRes poll which put the parties on the following standings:

Conservatives - 40% (-1)
Labour - 24% (-)
Lib Dems - 21% (+3)

The UK Polling Report Swing Calculator computes these figures into a Conservative majority of 74.

Comparisons are with the ComRes poll published on August 23rd.

The poll also suggeste that Conservaitve support is more solid than that of the other parties, with 34% of Tory supporters saying they may change their mind, compared to 51% of those who intend to vote Labour and 56% of those who say they will support the Liberal Democrats.
