Tory lead increases to 18 points in new ComRes poll

A new ComRes poll to be published in tomorrow's Independent shows the Conservatives safely above the 40% mark and opening up a lead of 18 points over Labour.

ComRes According to UK Polling Report, these figures would compute into a Commons majority of 140 for David Cameron.

Comparisons are with the most recent ComRes poll for the Independent on Sunday earlier this month. This is the highest rating for the Conservatives in a ComRes poll since the end of April and the party is back above 40% in the ConHome Poll of Polls.
