Labour loses The People

Picture 6 It's probably more of a commercial decision but The People (circulation 581,000) will no longer be supporting Labour.  Editor Lloyd Embley is quoted in The Guardian: "We are stating with pride that we are neither the mouthpiece of a billionaire tycoon owner nor a political party. We are called The People so it only seems right that we represent the people."

I recently wrote about Labour's loss of support among daily newspapers: All but The Mirror may desert Labour.
