David Cameron reading ConHome.
Welcome to ConservativeHome.com.
ConservativeHome was founded on Easter Monday 2005 to champion the interests of grassroots Tory members and to argue for a broad conservatism that is as serious about social justice as it is about economic competitiveness. The eleven shields illustrate the breadth of our mission.
We are independent of the Conservative Party but supportive of it. ConservativeHome is owned by Michael Ashcroft and co-founded by Stephan Shakespeare
By 8.30am every weekday and by 9am at weekends our frontpage provides a comprehensive news summary. ConservativeHome links to every important news and comment article in each day's media as well as publishing comment articles of its own. The ToryDiary is the heart of the site. On these pages the editorial team analyses developments in the Conservative Party.
The Majority section is an important new commitment to explore how the Conservative Party can win a governing majority at the next election. The StrongAndCompassionate.com website is a spin-off from these Majority pages.
ConHome is edited by Paul Goodman, Pete Hoskin and Harry Phibbs (local government editor).

Clockwise from top left, some of our key images from the last eight years: A man trapped in a closed room only able to talk about tax, crime, Europe and immigration; a warning that Labour governments raise debt, taxes and unemployment; the huge challenge at the next election; painting Britain blue; British Conservatism has many heroes; the great economic challenges of today; build from grassroot values; build conservatism around the ideas of work, family and education; the 2010 generation; poverty-fighting needs more than money; the little guy can beat the Goliaths.
Like the Queen, ConHome has two birthdays. We launched on 28th March 2005 - which was also the Easter Monday of that year. So today is one of our two eighth birthdays. We've lasted just a little bit longer than David Cameron's leadership and like him, we're still going.
