Three more Tory Associations selected candidates over the weekend:

  • James Heappey was selected for Wells. A former soldier and sports enthusiast, he now works for Liam Fox.
  • Lee Rowley for NE Derbyshire. A Westminster councillor, supporter of the Centre for Social Justice and Derbyshire-born.
  • John Bell for Wirrall South. A teacher, local and long-time Tory activist.

Twelve candidates have been selected in the top 40 target seats so far. Nine of them are men. Nearly all of them have strong local connections.
