Three Conservative seats abolished, one lost, and two gained in Wales Boundary Commission proposals

Under proposals by the Welsh Boundary Commission, three Conservative seats will be abolished, one will be lost, and two would be gained from Labour. Those being abolished are:

• Aberconwy (Guto Bebb)
• Montgomeryshire (Glyn Davies)
• Preseli Pembrokeshire (Stephen Crabb).  The seat largely returns to its pre-1997 boundaries.

The new seat of Caerphilly & Cardiff North (currently held by Tory MP Jonathan Evans) would have had a Labour winner under the new proposals.

However, two new seats would mean a Tory MP would be elected judging on 2010's results:

• Glyndwr and North Powys, the successor to Clwyd South (currently held by Labour MP Susan Jones) would be Conservative.
• Gower and Swansea West, the successor to Swansea West (currently held by Labour MP Geraint Davies) would be Conservative.
