Boris 8% ahead in ComRes poll

After a very narrow 2% lead in a YouGov poll on Monday a ComRes poll shows a 8% lead for Boris Johnson over Ken Livingstone in the race for Mayor of London, once second preferences are taken into account. Last week ComRes had a Boris lead of 6%.

Among first preferences the Green Party candidate Jenny Jones with 6% is now ahead of the Lib Dems candidate Brian Paddick on 5%. Independent candidate Siobhan Benita is on 3% and UKIP's Lawrence Webb will be disappointed to be on 2% - level with the BNP's Carlos Cortiglia.
