New recruit gives Conservatives overall control in Stroud

Cllr Raymond Apperley, who previously sat as an independent on Stroud District Council has joined the Conservatives thus putting us back in overall control of the Council. The Conservatives had lost two seats on May 5 but had remained substantially the largest party.

Cllr Apperley was "wooed" in a coffee shop by the Council leader Cllr Frances Roden.
