New Conservative leader for London Assembly

Cleverly%20245x170 Congratulations to James Cleverly on being elected leader of the Conservative Group on the London Assembly. There was a vacancy after Roger Evans decided to stand down.

James is the London Assembly Member for Bexley and Bromley, Leader of the Conservative Group and the Chairman of the London Waste & Recycling Board (LWaRB) where he has worked to reduce food waste. He is also particularly concerned with cutting youth offending and the bureaucratic burden on the police. James blogs here.

Richard Tracey has been elected Deputy Leader and Victoria Borwick has been elected Group Secretary/Whip.
