Lib Dem councillor defects to Conservatives

Fall Cllr Alexis Fall of Winchester City Council has defected from the Lib Dems to the Conservatives.

She says:

“Having now experienced eight months of Lib Dem administration in Winchester, led by Cllr Learney I am no longer able to support them.”

Welcome aboard.

There is a byelection taking place today in Olivers Battery and Badger Farm Ward in Winchester following the death of a Lib Dem councillor. Even if the Lib Dems their control of the council looks perilous. There are two independents and one Lib Dem councillor Cllr Adrian Hicks has resigned the whip.
