Victory: LGA chief exec takes pay cut

A triumph for Cllr David Burbage, leader of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council. The Chief Executive of the Local Government Association, John Ransford, has taken a big pay cut. His salary will be less than £100,000. It had been £245,612 - with pension contribution of £57,228 coming to £302,840.

Now, what about an economy drive on members allowances?
