Six Lib Dem councillors in Rochdale quit

Six Lib Dem councillors in Rochdale have resigned and will sit as independents.

They claim it is to do with national policies, such as tuition fees, and local policies, on spending cuts. However at least some of them had been deselected or were facing deselection.
