Yesterday's local by-election results

Eight of nine results have been kindly emailed from CCHQ:

  1. Frognal and Fitzjohns, Camden (Hampstead & Kilburn) a Con hold. Con vote was 63% +10, Lab 14% -4, LD 19% -3, Green 4% -3.
  2. Holland, Kensington and Chelsea (Kensington) a Con hold. Con vote was 75% +17, LD 17% -1, Ind 8% from nowhere, Lab did not stand losing 13%, Green did not stand losing 11%.
  3. Warwick South, Warwick (Warwick and Leamington) awaiting result.
  4. Great Cornard North, Babergh (South Suffolk) a Lab gain from Con. Con vote was 27% -31, Lab 45% +3, LD 19% from nowhere, UKIP 10% from nowhere.
  5. Nethermayne, Basildon (South Basildon and East Thurrock) a LD hold. Con vote was 21% -10; Lab 26% +8, LD 33% -18; Ind 1% from nowhere, BNP 4% from nowhere, UKIP 16% from nowhere.
  6. Kidlington North, Cherwell (Oxford West & Abingdon) a LD hold. Con vote was 34% -5, Lab 17% +6, LD 42% -8, UKIP 7% from nowhere.
  7. Thatcham South and Crookham, West Berkshire (Newbury) a LD hold. Con vote was 46% -1, 54% +1.
  8. St Mary’s with Summercombe, Torbay (Totnes) a LD gain from Con. Con vote was 24% -25, Lab 13% from nowhere, LD 53% +18, UKIP 10% from nowhere.
  9. Cymmer, Rhondda Cynon Taff (Rhondda) a Lab hold. Con vote was 3% from nowhere, Lab 52% no change, Ind 10% from nowhere, Plaid Cymru 33% -15, Green 2% from nowhere.
