Brent Council temp on £750 a day

The Daily Mail reports:

A cash-strapped council is paying an agency worker £750-a-day to run one of its departments. Brent Council in North-West London is paying Genny Renard the equivalent of £3,000-a-week for four days work - or around £156,000-a-year - to run its Community Safety Partnership Unit.

The council states the unit 'works in partnership with the police and other key agencies to organise, develop and implement the Brent Crime, Disorder and Misuse of Drugs Strategy'. Miss Renard has been in the post on a 'temporary basis' since January last year.....
