The battle for Stroud

Stroud has a Conservative Council. A third of the seats are up fro election on Thursday. One of the projects the Council is involved with is improving the canal between Stonehouse and Stroud. The work will include widening the towpath and providing new bridges. Volunteers are being encouraged to help.

The Stroud constituency is our 16th target. Of the 25 relevant wards 16 went  Conservative when last contested. Three went to Labour.  Five to the Green Party. Also two to Independents. So the prospects for Neil Carmichael gaining this seat for the Conservatives look very promising. Good luck to him.
