The battle for Waveney

Waveney District Council is Conservative controlled with a third of the seats up for election on Thursday.

In terms of the General Election the Waveney constituency is the Conservatives 110th target. Of the 19 relevant wards when last contested 14 went to the Conservatives, four to Labour and one to the Lib Dems. So a very encouraging base for our General Election candidate Peter Aldous. Among the local issues he has taken up is championing local fishermen by attacking the Common Fisheries Policy. Good luck to him.

The sitting Labour MP Bob Blizzard has misused his taxpayer funded Communications Allowance to make partisan attacks on Waveney District Council
