The battle for Hackney

I have already written about the impressive campaign being run by Andrew Boff, the Conservative candidate for Mayor of Hackney.

This may not bee traditional territory for us but regarding the General Election we also have two very strong candidates for the Parliamentary seats. Simon Nayyar is standing in Hackney South (target 316). Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary has been to visit Broadway Market and discuss Conservative plans for more apprenticeships.

While Darren Caplan is campaigning to oust Diane Abbott in Hackney North our 289th target. We have nine councillors in Hackney - all in Hackney North wards.

One local school, the Mossbourne Academy is a great source of inspiration to Shadow Education Secretary Michael Gove - see video above.
