This morning's good news from Harlow is tempered by two less than joyous by-election results from yesterday:
Taunton Lyngford ward, Taunton Deane
Lib Dem - 390 (44%, -1)
Con - 253 (28%, no change)
Lab - 190 (21%, -6)
UKIP - 59 (7%, +7)
Lib Dem hold
Great Bowden & Arden ward, Market Harborough
Lib Dem - 966 (62%, +14)
Con - 598 (38%, -14)
Lib Dem gain from Con
