Tory Council plans skate park

Often parks provide good playgrounds catering for children up the age of about ten but find provision for teenagers trickier. There is the occasional skate boarding ramp but Conservative-run Litchfield District Council is planning something more ambitous: A skateboarding park on the edge of one of their existing parks.

The skate park will have "an attractive boulevard, street feel" and will not be lit to discourage night time use.

Sounds like a good idea to me.
