Councillor donates bananas to school

Cllr Gary Wilkes, an Indepedent councillor on Wigan Council, is delivering bunches of bananas to his daughter's school. He is demanding the Council's catering division reinstate them on school menus. "I don't think they are that expensive," he says. They will be for him if he keeps delivering them for every child in the school every day.

Anyway, very generous and public spirited.
