Conservative-run Lincoln Council halves sickness absenteeism
Back in 2003 when Lincoln Council was under Labour control was at the bottom of the league table for absence through sickness. Council staff took an average of 18.2 days off a year. Since 2007 the Council has been under Conservative control and has been "changing the culture," This year the figure is 8.7 days a year - one of the top performing councils.
I have written to the Council leader Cllr Darren Grice to ask him how he did it.
