Taxpayers Alliance protest "fizzles out"

Cllr Daniel Moylan, of Kensington and Chelsea, resumes his earlier attack on the TaxPayers' Alliance.

K&Cprotest I am glad to inform fellow Conservatives that the TaxPayers’ Alliance protest against Kensington and Chelsea’s programme of improvements to our urban environment has now definitively fizzled out. Their latest demonstration attracted eleven people and the envelope containing the petition they were delivering to the Town Hall turned out to be empty. The pictures of the demo on their website are very sad indeed for a mass protest movement claiming to speak for the public at large. Look at them now before they are taken down in embarrassment.

Failure in Kensington and Chelsea leaves them free to attack other flagship, high-achieving Tory authorities and I see that they now have Westminster’s motorcycling policy in their sights. No doubt they will be teaming up with the eleven-strong Westminster Branch of the Hell’s Angels Liberation Front to spearhead their risible activities.

It is heartening that the leadership of the Conservative Party has no truck with them.
