Manchester Council mothballs £1.4 million sculpture

Bang_1294168c Manchester Council has mothballed a 180ft metal sculpture called "B of the Bang" just four years after it was unveiled. There were concerns that it giant spikes could fall off and impale local residents.

Manchester councillors understandably decided against spending £2 million to £3 million fixing it. But I wonder what the storage costs will be.
