Gloucestershire buys table salt

Conservative-run Gloucestershire  County Council has bought 500 tons of table salt. "We have had to be creative," says Environment Cabinet Member Cllr Stan Waddington. Perhaps the table salt will cost more and work less well than the traditional gritting salt. But needs must when the Devil drives.
