Council by-elections

Here are the results from Council by-election held yesterday:

• Greenwich LBC - Plumstead (Erith and Thamesmead): Lab hold.  Con vote 24% no change, Lab 59% +13, LD 9% -9, Green 8% from Ind 12%
• Chiltern DC - Chalfont St Giles (Chesham and Amersham): Con hold.  Con vote 68% -1, LD 32% +1.
  Pin Green, Stevenage DC. Lab hold. Con vote 24% +1, Lab 54% +, LD 9% -4, others 13% no change.
• Wealden DC - Alfriston (Lewes): LD gain from Con.  Con vote 48% -23, LD 52% +23.
• Winchester DC - Colden Common: LD hold.  Con vote 43% +4, Lab 3% +1, LD 54% -5.
• Camden LBC - Hampstead Town (Hampstead and Kilburn): LD gain from Con.  Con vote 40% -8, Lab 10% -1, LD 44% +12, Others 6% -3.
• Swale DC -
  • Minster Cliffs (Sittingbourne and Sheppey): Con gain from Other. Con vote 48% +26, Lab 18% +9, LD 6% +2, Others 29% -37.
  • Sheerness East: Lab gain from Other. Con vote 21% +1, Lab 38% +8, LD 21% +8, Other 20% -14.
