Latest by-election results

Several local by-elections results were counted up last night, with two Mid Sussex seats counting tomorrow.

  • Eckington, Derbyshire - Lab hold. Con vote +9% to 29%, Lab -20 to 36%, LD -10 to 5%, BNP got 11% from nowhere, two independents got 19%.
  • Chadwell Heath, Barking and Dagenham - Con gain from Lab. Con vote +10 to 37%, Lab -7 to 31%, BNP got 25% from nowhere, Others -27 to 7%.
  • Christchurch, Bexley - Con hold.  Con vote -18 to 48%, Lab -4 to 17%, LD +4 to 18%, BNP 17% from nowhere.
  • South Hornchurch, Havering - Ind gain from Residents. Con vote -7 to 18%, Lab -8 to 17%, Ind +10 to 27%, BNP 21% from nowhere - there were five other candidates.
  • Killamarsh West, North East Derbyshire - Lab hold. Uncontested last time. Con vote 33%, Lab 46%, LD 5%, Ind 16%.
  • Unstone, North East Derbyshire - LD gain from Ind. Con vote 30% from nowhere, Lab -13 to 27%, LD 31% from nowhere, Ind -48 to 12%.
  • Sackville, Rother - Con hold. Con vote +6% to 49%, Lab +1 to 8%, LD +6 to 43%, Ind -13%.
