Labour parliamentary candidate describes Gordon Brown as "worst PM ever"

An astounding interview in the latest edition of the Lynn News - a local paper in King's Lynn - given by the Labour candidate for the local Norfolk North West seat, Manish Sood.

In all candour, he says:

"I believe Gordon Brown has been the worst Prime Minister we have had in this country. It is a disgrace and he owes an apology to the people and the Queen."

He also expresses support for restoring the death penalty.

This is seat which was Labour held between 1997 and 2001 and is currently represented by Henry Bellingham for the Conservatives.

"Right near the general election, [Gordon Brown]'s putting up the National Insurance contributions. Right near the general election, petrol prices are going up and up and up. Right near the general election, he's increased the employment tax.

"Right near the general election, you know, he's still dithering on what to do about immigration. Right near the general election he still hasn't come out with any clear policies on what he wants to do, calling the lady the other day a bigot and so on."

"Really he needs to go back to the basics. He needs to teach the community and the society basic manners so that people start to respect the system a lot more. And I truly believe we have to go back to being proud of being British. We have to give more powers to the Queen, we have to be proud because she is the sovereign of this country."
