That's 88% for a fundamental change, actually.

This one is a bit of a dud question. There really isn't clear daylight in options two, three and four - they are all tantamount to saying "Stay in, but fight much harder against recent and future changes in the terms of our EU membership." But the subtle nuances in these choices have split that vote in three. To me that rephrased view seems to be the 'winner' in terms of the grass roots view from these numbers.

Scary poll, Cameron needs to address this issue quickly otherwise it will overshadow every day of the conference.
Atleast it shows a majority want to remain part of the EU, so he shouldnt do anything stupid like offer a referendum on in or out of the EU.

So in total, 61% of us want to stay in - that's good. The europhobes do at least have less sway than the loudness of their whinge.

Well, the Tories have just lost yet one more vote to UKIP.
Let the people of the country decide on the treaty, not the yes men in Parliament at this time.

We need to be OUT of the EU.
The decimation of our industrial base, fishing industry, the breaking up of BR, the congestion charge, the breaking/selling off of our Post Offices, the rubbish bin debacle, social engineering, the adherance of a marxist indoctrinated control via 'political correctness' which has permeated all walks of life including our Police'service' with the ongoing devasting results, the nutters who want to destroy this country and who scream 'human rights' if we threaten to kick them out, the 120,000laws we must adhere to as dictated by a foreign state.
As I said we need to be OUT; and to think a 'conservative' got us into this mess in the first place: (Ted Heath). Now it's time for a conservative to get us out.

Significantly 58% want something which cannot be achieved. The idea the Conservative Party has been promoting for 30 years is that they will somehow modify the EEC/EU into something that suits us - something near to a free trade area.
They have not done so because they cannot. The other member states do not want it to be a free trade area nor even mainly about trade. It was not set up to be about trade but about power and uniformity; it was Britain that was sold a distortion by its politicians (mainly Tory) and not the EEC/EU which has changed its objectives.
Will Dave tell his members and the public that he cannot achieve these 3 middle options that 58% want - of course not! Whenever did a politician admit to any limit on his power or ability to achieve whatever it is the voters can be persuaded they want.
A Conservative government will act as an anger sink as that party has all these years. It will absorb a large number of votes from thse who want something Dave is not offering, but they hope he might come around to their way of thinking after election. He won't!
There is only 1 party telling the truth about the EU; only 1 party that wants to leave. You know who it is, so vote for it.
