I learn that candidates have just been selected to fight the two Barnsley constituencies at the general election.
James Hockney will be donning the blue rosette in Barnsley East, where Labour defend a notional majority of 18,298. The Lib Dems start on paper in second place with 14% of the vote, followed closely by the Conservatives with 12.7%.
Meanwhile, Piers Tempest will be the Conservative candidate in Barnsley Central, where Labour will defend a notional majority of 11,839 - again over the Lib Dems with the Tories chasing in third place.
Both will be working alongside Spencer Pitfield, the candidate for nearby Penistone and Stockbridge, who was selected back in August 2007.
