So far ConHome's Yellow To Blue fundraising effort has raised at least £1,000 for five Tory candidates in Lib/Con marginals.
Our virtual fundraising bus has now left Jesse Norman after depositing a grand with him in Hereford and has arrived in Winchester where we're aiming to raise £1,000 for our candidate Steve Brine.
You can read the positive case for Steve on his website, here. We worked together at CCHQ some years ago and he's a great guy.
The seat is vulnerable because the current LibDem MP, Mark Oaten, had a big personal following until he was forced to resign following of tabloid investigations.
Steve has a good chance of winning and another £1,000 to pay for last minute leaflets might make all the difference.
Give what you can but here are some suggested numbers...
- £8.50 would pay for printing and delivery of campaign leaflets to four streets;
- £22 would cover the cost of calling over 250 undecided voters and talking them through our policies;
- £47.50 could pay for over 15,000 online adverts about our campaign.
I'm getting the ball rolling with a donation of £35.
PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY AND WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO FILL IN THE AMOUNT BOX THINK OF VINCE CABLE, NICK CLEGG AND CHRIS HUHNE SAT AT THE CABINET TABLE!
