Mr Wheeler, who gave the Tories £5m in 2001 but recently backed UKIP, will tomorrow launch the Trust Party and announce that he will stand against Tory frontbencher Greg Barker because of a large profit he made on the sale of a house which he part purchased with Commons expenses. Mr Barker's deep green credentials may also infuriate the climate sceptic Mr Wheeler.
Mr Wheeler's manifesto will:
- Focus on cleaning up the 'corrupt' expenses system and proposes a new Parliamentary court with the power to jail politicians who fiddle their allowances;
Expose experts who claim climate change is inevitable; - Grab back powers handed over to Brussels;
- Promote marriage;
- Improve treatment for injured British soldiers;
- Prevent the use of torture against terror suspects.
The Mail on Sunday has the story.
