Steve Baker was adopted for Wycombe this afternoon.
He beat Kwasi Kwarteng in the final ballot that earlier saw Margaret Doyle, Fiona Kemp, Katy Lindsay and Jeremy Quin eliminated.
He will inherit Paul Goodman MP's projected majority of 7,012.
Steve is a former RAF pilot engineer officer, an adviser to the Centre for Social Justice and promotes a decidedly Hayekian reading list.

Sunday update: Steve Baker has given ConHome the following statement:
"I am delighted and honoured to be adopted by Wycombe Conservatives. I am also humbled; the other candidates were first-class and I know each of them has worked long and hard at this. It will take a day or two for this to sink in. In the meantime, my wife and I are looking forward to moving back to the area, into the constituency, full time and I am excited about serving the people of Wycombe as my first priority."
