9.15pm update:
A well-placed source reports that the meeting was attended by about 260 members and that Mr Ottaway won the vote, which was conducted by secret ballot with no figures announced. I gather that Mr Ottaway had called the meeting himself in order to discuss the issues raised over his use of parliamentary allowances and seek a fresh mandate from his association.

A meeting has just started in Croydon South where MP Richard Ottaway is the subject of a confidence motion in the wake of Expenses-gate.
The motion reads:
"That this general meeting of Croydon South's members of the Croydon Central and South Conservative Federation has confidence in its Member of Parliament, Mr Richard Ottaway MP".
There is more detail to the background in Mr Ottaway's local paper here.
As and when I get a result, I will post it here.
