The Conservatives' number one target seat selects tomorrow - Finchley and Golders Green. With boundary changes the Tories only have to overturn a majority of 31. Regular readers of ConservativeHome will know that I desperately hope that Vanessa Gearson is not selected. I am a first hand witness of her dishonesty and incompetence. It is extraordinary that she is still on the candidates' list after her performance in Cheltenham at the last General Election. I hope that a seat associated with the greatness of Margaret Thatcher has the sense to choose Suella Fernandez, Mike Freer or Samantha George.
