After Liberal Democrat complaints that Wiltshire Tory councillor Ellenor Bland had been circulating a 'racist' poem via email (Daily Mail), Central Office has suspended Mrs Bland from the candidates' list. Mrs Bland fought Swansea West at the last General Election.
Told that the poem had been posted on his blog, Boris Johnson MP noted: “It is an utterly dreadful poem and I condemn it unreservedly. Hundreds of people post material on to the site and I had absolutely no idea it was there.”
