Bury South selected local candidate Michelle Wiseman (pictured) over A-lister Carolyn Abbott last night. Michelle is a Councillor for the affluent Whitefield area, and was said to have been the clear favourite.
The seat, held by Ivan Lewis with a Labour majority of almost 9000, received just the two applications.
