This is Samuel Coates' last week in CCHQ before he heads off towards Afghanistan as part of a Territorial Army tour.
Sam was Deputy Editor of ConHome before, first, joining David Cameron's office as a speechwriter and then becoming the party's Head of Digital.
He made an enormous contribution to this website's early development and I'm sure he will do great things in the years ahead.
I want to publicly wish him a successful and safe tour and thank him for his service of our country. We are all indebted to our brave servicemen and women. Sam will very much be in many of our thoughts over the next ten or so months.
