Michael Moore, MoveOn.org and other media monsters have pushed America’s Democrats to left-of-centre extremes.
“I Feel Nothing Over The Death Of The Mercenaries. They Are There To Wage War For Profit. Screw Them.”
These heartless words appeared on the American website of Democratic consultant Markos Moulitas. It was Mr Moulitas’ considered reflection on the brutal murder of four American contractors in Iraq in April 2004. Unfortunately Moulitas’ website isn’t on the fringe of Democratic Party debate. The site receives half-a-million hits every day. Dailykos.com is but one manifestation of the hatefulness towards George W Bush that has started to warp the American left. Some have called this hatefulness the ‘MooreOn tendency’ after its principal authors – propagandist Michael Moore and the MoveOn.org webroots site.
Michael Moore’s anti-war on terror movie – Fahrenheit 911 (the deceits of which are explored on this website) and MoveOn.org’s aggressively negative style of campaigning have won the hearts of many mindless lefties. Where Bill Clinton had built a moderate (triangulated) Democratic party (partly with the chequebooks of centrist business people), Howard ’The Scream’ Dean (the Democrats’ Chairman) used the money of 600,000 internet supporters to push the party on to the anti-war, anti-faith fringe of American life.
Misuse of the internet by ‘Mourning in America’ Democrats stands in stark contrast to the way ’Morning in America’ Republicans have used IT to renew their get-out-the-vote coalition and to expose the liberal biases of America’s old media.
