Tom Greeves was a desk officer at Conservative Central Office between 1999 and 2003, specialising in Culture, Media and Sport. He later joined Peter Ainsworth’s office.
In 2004 he volunteered on the successful US Senate race of Jim DeMint from South Carolina.
Tom worked at London 2012 as Seb Coe’s speechwriter, and was a researcher for Peter Oborne on the books The Rise of Political Lying and The Triumph of the Political Class. He was Boris Johnson’s speechwriter and adviser on crime and the Olympics during the campaign for Mayor of London. He was then a part of Mayor Johnson’s transition team, before returning to freelance speechwriting and research work from his home in Oxford.
