We began ConHome's search for the one hundred most influential people on The Right yesterday when I sought your nominations for journalists.
Today I'm looking for nominations for parliamentarians who, not on the Westminster frontbench, have a big influence. And influence is the key criterion - not whether you agree with them.
A few suggestions to get things going...
- Lord Lawson for his campaigning on climate change.
- Dan Hannan MEP and Douglas Carswell MP for their direct democracy agenda. Dan, in his own right, for campaigning to takeTory MEPs out of the EPP. Douglas for his campaign against Speaker Martin.
- Andrew Tyrie as Chair(man) of the powerful Treasury Select Committee.
- David Davis for transforming the party's position on civil liberties.
- Annabel Goldie MSP and Nick Bourne AM for leading the party in Scotland and Wales.
