Eric Pickles has just Twittered this:
It is a reminder how many words commonly appear in electioneering slogans. A few words are exhausted by politicians. There's Fresh. New. Change. Britain. Hope. Future. Tomorrow. Time.
My favourite of recent times was Margaret Thatcher's 1987 slogan, 'The Next Moves Forward'. I hated 'New Labour, New Danger'... but it proved to be right.
The old and simplest ones are probably still the best. 'Time for a change' remains the most potent.
