Earlier in the week I noted the anti-Tory tendencies of The Times' 'Chief Reporter', Tom Baldwin. He has a silly story in today's newspaper that is worthy of the Mirror.
After my blog appeared on Monday I received a number of messages from journalists and Conservative politicians about the ways in which Baldwin ran anti-Tory stories throughout the Blair years. Apparently he was known as Ally's cat in recognition of his dutiful service to Alastair Campbell. That The Times continues to give him free rein is very disappointing.
