The various politicians interviewed on television today have all been asked about Gordon Brown's eyesight, on the back of news that he has two small tears to the retina in his good eye - although his eyesight has not diminished and he requires no further treatment.
Liam Fox - the only Conservative to have appeared on the small screen so far this morning - has just given Adam Boulton short shrift when asked about the issue. Dr Fox said it was "unkind" to make an issue out of it and added, as PoliticsHome records, that he was "not concerned":
He added that speculation about the Prime Minister's health was "not the sort of politics we ought to be indulging in", and that whilst there were "lots of reasons" for the Mr Brown to stand down, his health wasn't one of them.
Quite right too.
